The FRIENDS of the Library consists of volunteers working hard to raise money, in order to provide many wonderful
programs at the library for children and adults. In addition to funding for special events, the FRIENDS donate
furniture, books, and media to the Library every year. Recent fund-raising efforts have been used for:

	new library furniture unabridged books on cd & tape DVD collection technology upgrades book baskets digital camera computers floral arrangements special programs for all ages

The Friends' second Artists' Showcase on March 11, 2007 was a huge success!

A wide variety of art works from creative artists,a steady stream of art-lovers, home-baked

refreshments and many volunteer Friends transformed the library for a wonderful afternoon.

Two very successful booksales were held in 2007. The June booksale was our biggest one ever, offering books
for all ages. The October booksale focused on children's books. Keep a lookout for announcements
for future booksales. Donations of books in clean, sellable condition are accepted the week prior to the sale.

MEMBERSHIP

Once a year we ask everyone in Mountainside to join us by donating money to provide resources for the Library and programs for the entire
community to enjoy. Our library is a valuable resource to our community! Please join the FRIENDS to help us continue our efforts!

Individual Friend	$25.00
Silver Level Friend	$50.00
Gold Level Friend	$100.00

Members who join at the Silver or Gold Level receive forgiveness of one library
fine, up to $6.00, and will be recognized on a display at the Library.

Members who join at the Gold Level also receive a 10% discount at Friends-sponsored sales.
