blues away by creating their very own beautiful silk scarves. |

Kids
An origami program to help the victims of the earthquake in
Japan.
Together with the local schools,
Mountainsiders folded over 700 cranes.
The Osh Kosh B'Gosh company donated an article of clothing
to a child in need for each crane. |

and Active with Presley & Melody
A children's music program incorporating music, dance and
good nutrition. |

Local
Musician Skip Ungar
Skip is a regular at the Mountainside Library, bringing
creative music programs, including
Hollywood Musicals, showtunes and "Musical Geography," an
interactive program where listeners
have to guess the place that's mentioned in the lyrics. |

Story Time
Theatre for Kindergarteners
A special program at the MPL, here the young children dress
up and act out their favorite stories
for their moms, dads, grandparents and siblings. The
program is led by Mrs. Jan Elby.

The day included story-telling, tree identification
techniques, poetry and art.

"Tattoo
Joe" Beierle Art Show and Sale
|
|
|
|
Longtime Mountainside resident and
local artist Joe Beierle passed away in May 2011, leaving
his collection of his
own art to the Mountainside Public Library. The
collection included a number drawings, portraits and
hand-made toys.
These items were exhibited sold as a fundraiser. Over
100 people attended the event on December 3, 2011.
