The temperature has finally dropped, the leaves are changing colors and it is getting darker earlier, but don’t worry, the library is warm and bright and full of fun things to do!

We have a full slate of programming in October, including the first of three genealogy programs on the 5th, the return of our opera series on the 13th, a Halloween themed concert on the 14th and our monthly guided meditation on the 19th. The Friends of the Mountainside Library are having their annual fall book sale on the 27th and 28th – including a preview for Mountainside residents on the 26th and a bag day on the 30th – book donations will be accepted from the 20th through the 25th when the library is open, please do not leave books outside of the library. Finally, on November 2nd don’t miss our Trading Places program! Senior couples will get the chance to spend some time in each other’s shoes, understanding and appreciating what their partner brings to the relationship.
